Many schools have a local and national newspaper for students to read. Gannon does not provide students with this opportunity. It would be beneficial ...more »

It would be beneficial to students, so that they might stay more engaged in the news and political discussions of the day, if they were able to get a newspaper each day with their ID at no cost to them.
This could be the Erie Times News or a larger national paper.

Add your commentGannon is one of the very few universities nationally to separate guys and girls by floor.Many Ivy league schools and liberal arts colleges now allow male and female students to room together. Many may say the issue is the Catholic Identity on Campus; if that is the case, please take a look at the effects on prominent catholic universities such as Notre Dame and Georgetown. This step would require much work by the students and it is a huge undertaking. Yet, student government's purpose is to change with the changing student population. At a time where campus renovation of dorms is coming, I think this is the time to change policy.

Add your commentThere are aesthetic wood panels in Zurn, but the bunson burners are temporarily out of order. Your experiments refuse to yield the correct results because your equipment is wearing out. You need to use a computer program that is installed in a computer lab that is locked by the time you get out of your after dinner meetings. It just seems silly that we pay for this.

The library has computers available, but if you need to print or work on a paper between two of your classes, it's not always feasible to walk to Nash and back, and many times the labs in Palumbo are occupied by classes.

Add your commentWhen the library gets updated as part of the campus master plan, put a small place like the intermetzo in Palumbo somewhere in the library so students can get real food (not just vending machine snacks) and fresh coffee while studying. It's a pain to have to pack up and leave and come back just to grab some lunch or dinner... or even a cup of coffee. (Vending machine coffee? NO THANK YOU)
